It is important to brush your floor every few days with a dry dust mop or a hoover/vacuum ensuring you have selected the wood floor setting. Although we offer fantastic ranges of waterproof laminate flooring, the majority of laminate flooring is only water resistant & its protective layer does not lend well, to being left to sit in liquid for an extended period of time. You should mop up any spillages immediately with a cloth, paper towel or sponge. Following this, wipe the affected area with a damp cloth to ensure that all excess residue has been removed.

Use a damp microfiber mop for those deep cleans

Every couple of months your floor may begin to look a bit grubby with the toils of day to day life, and you may want to give your laminate flooring a deep clean. It must be noted however, that laminate flooring isn’t as tough as various other types of flooring and as such you should avoid using appliances such as steam cleaners & floor buffers for them tough to remove stains. Instead it’s a much better for your laminate flooring, to simply grab a damp microfiber mop alongside some homemade cleaning solution.
