We are a London based Interior Designer, with over 25 years of experience, recently undertook the refurbishment of a Georgian town house in the Richmond, London.

Our client specified a high end look for the down stairs of their property, with well sourced and specked fixtures and fittings. This is not an uncommon request, however needs to be balanced well as budgets are there for a reason!

We approached Floor Monster for samples after initially looking on their website and we managed to narrow it down to a few options. We spoke to Floor Monster about our selected options and with the information presented our choices to the client.

The client specified a white contemporary kitchen, with a light/neutral coloured flooring with a lot of character. This was no easy feat finding the perfect flooring however, with the help of Floor Monster we found that their 190mm Brushed Alaska Oak was going to be the best all rounder product to meet ours and client's very particular specification. This was a very hard decision as the flooring is one of the main features of the refurbishment.

The floor has a fantastic amount of character, the brushed texture was a huge factor and with a staggering 21mm thickness it is extremely hard wearing.
